Tutorial: How to make a grainy background
Usually, in photographs, grain/noise is considered to be undesirable to many people. You either hate it or love it. Due to my camera’s noise performance I’ve learn to appreciate and learn from it instead, hence I started to adore grainy backgrounds.
Grainy background usually makes everything look simple but screams classic! So here is a tutorial on how to make one. It’s actually pretty easy.

1. Open a new document in Adobe Photoshop and make a 400x400 background.

Basic Manipulation
This tutorial is basically to help a friend out the basic of changing a crappy looking background into something, let’s put it this way, non-crappy. I have no special skills or talent with Photoshop and I self-taught myself using YouTube, and other resources. So, don’t hate. By the way, I am not going to show you every darn detail so make sure that you familiarize yourself with the tools, ergo there is no point reading this.
First, open your image in Photoshop. I recommend a better quality photo since I find it really tough manipulating/editing a low-quality photo (e.g. from your webcam). It’s not impossible, but for starters it’s not easy.

Customize favicon.
I learned this during old school blogging. And I’m sharing this to everyone just because. (: I won’t be teaching you how to make one though— sorry.
1. Find your desired favicon in any image hosting websites such as Photobucket. I sometimes use pixel icons from http://ego-box.com.
2. Copy the Direct Link of the icon. (As shown below.)
3. Go to Customize»Theme and look for this code: <link rel=”shortcut icon” href={Favicon}>. Paste the link in the {Favicon} part. Remember to put quotes before and after the link. If your theme doesn’t have one, copy the codes and paste it before your CSS.
4. Hit save and close, and you’re done!
Vintage color effect. Okay, so I got nothing to post in my tumblr and I was very bored, I decided to leave you guys a tutorial (consider this as my current update lol). So, here we go.
*Note: I am really not that good with tutorials, so bear with it!

We’ll be changing this picture (shown above) into this picture (shown below).
