Thanks to my colleague (for lending me his DVD) I was able to watch Insidious last time. The film wasn’t as scary as I expected it to be. But it’s more likely to be…jumpy. Or suspense. Although there were some couple of scenes that I rather find absurd. Like, the one where Elise (the woman who deals with paranormal activities) has to wear a gas mask to contact the soul. It made the movie less serious and rather funny because of their “gears”. Though the background music or the sounds used was really amazing. And the little twist that they did was great!

When it comes to Disney movies, or even movies in general, I think I’m probably the last person to see everything. I just saw “Tangled” yesterday, and I have to say that I really love this version of Rapunzel. It was hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. I love, love Eugene and Maximus. Chameleon is totes cute and Rapunzel, of course, is just pretty. But I was kind of disappointed when she loses her locks in the end. She’s prettier with a blonde hair. Nevertheless, another beautiful animation from Disney!

I watched this yesterday and though the movie got a lot of negative feedbacks —about Daniel Radcliffe being too young for the character, and— as usual films ruining the novels but for me it was a good movie. The movie was good enough to make me jump off and clench on my seat, and cover my eyes anyway. And for me, horror movies that does that to me is considered good.
The last part was actually sad and got me a little confuse. Some of the clips were a little disturbing too! The mansion and, well, the woman in black herself especially! I kind of didn’t like the story because I think they didn’t put a lot of detail to why the ghost is haunting. They should’ve considered flashbacks and those sort of things really. But yea, it was good a movie! And It’s really weird seeing Daniel as someone else and not Harry Potter. Oh well!
(Rating: 3 out of 5.)

I know this is rather late for me to do a movie review, but I have been dying to watch this movie since the day I bought the book. Now that I have watched it, I am really dying inside. The movie is so wonderful! I mean, yes, it isn’t as wonderful as the book but I think the Director, Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana gave justice to it. Rachel is the perfect Claire and Eric really portrayed Henry well. I couldn’t ask for anyone else to portray him really. The movie was just remarkable!
Thanks to my dear colleague for letting me borrow her DVD — just so I can watch it while I’m waiting for the snow.

Saw this movie on a plane ride back to UK. It’s a story of a gold digger from Hong Kong, named Li Peiru; who met (or throws up on) a principled, lonely cop Zhendong after a night of heavy drinking. A romcom that turns a little tragic in the end. I won’t say this is a must-watch movie but it’s a nice film. Plus, I love Shu Qi as an actress. I first saw her in the movie “Close To You” when I was a kid. It’s nice seeing her again after so long.

Now it all makes sense to me now. It is quite a shame though, that they didn’t film this first before the others. I mean, I do like the prequel but seeing this now? I expect for them to do more X-Men films. This is my real childhood! I could still clearly remember watching the animated/cartoon version of this on TV; and it was brilliant back then!
Also, they sure did made the cast look hella hot on this film! James McAvoy (Professor X) is just gorgeous, and Lucas Till (Alex/Havok) is one sexy dude. Me gusta!
