Book Review: The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
I have so much love for Suzanne Collins after reading this book. And I am nowhere to argue why it became a bestselling one. It was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! In fact it’s unputdownable, that if sleep isn’t an essential thing, I wouldn’t even consider going to bed. I love everything about it. Katniss, the protagonist and narrator herself, is lovable. The way she over thinks about Peeta’s motif during the games when he was clearly so in love with her. (But then again it is the Hunger Games, so who knows what’s real or not in that arena?) And of course the other characters were lovable as well. (Peeta, Prim, Finnick, Haymitch, Effie, Cinna and that furball, Buttercup.) Anyway, even though I like how Suzanne Collins made me think and feel that I was Katniss Everdeen, I was also a wee bit disappointed that the whole story focuses on her alone too. It’s like, you only see what Katniss sees and you wouldn’t know what’s going on the other characters’ mind. That’s probably the only thing the story lacks. A more broaden view from the other characters. But all in all, it was definitely a great read!
